The Steel Mill Dust-proof Conveyor Shield Hood is a protective cover designed for belt conveyors operating in dust-generating steel mill environments. Installed above the conveyor, it creates a physical barrier around the material-carrying area to help limit dust dispersion and reduce direct exposure of the conveyor belt and transported material to the surrounding environment.
The conveyor shield hood is made of colorized galvanized steel plate and is available in models from YDT5 to YDT20, matching conveyor belt widths from 500 mm to 2000 mm. Depending on the selected model, the plate thickness ranges from 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm.
Fixed and openable conveyor cover sections can be arranged together so that the conveying line remains protected while inspection and maintenance positions stay accessible. The effective length of each conveyor cover section is 900 mm.
Different opening widths, heights and radii are available to match the conveyor belt width and installation space. The listed dimensions are reference values, and the conveyor shield hood can be designed and manufactured according to specific project requirements.
The conveyor hood is manufactured from colorized galvanized steel plate. This material provides a practical protective surface for conveyor lines used in dusty industrial environments while maintaining a neat and consistent appearance.
The formed corrugated profile improves the rigidity of the steel plate and helps the cover maintain its shape during installation and operation. The arched structure also creates sufficient internal clearance above the conveyor belt.

Plate thickness increases according to the size of the conveyor cover:

1.0 mm: YDT18 and YDT20
The conveyor shielding system can include both fixed and openable cover sections. Fixed sections provide continuous coverage, while openable sections can be positioned at suitable inspection or maintenance points.
Each conveyor cover has an effective length of 900 mm. The modular section design makes it easier to calculate the required quantity according to the total length of the conveyor line.
The shield hood covers the upper part of the conveyor and helps contain dust around the material-conveying area. This is particularly useful for steel mill conveyor lines handling dust-generating bulk materials.
